Questions with Mackenzie:
What training have you had that qualifies you to teach students through the Become an Accredited and Certified Coach program?
“I love this question! I studied psychology at the University of Windsor, coaching out of Colorado, business at the IMC in Toronto and hmmmmm…Leadership as well at the U. I was president of my Phi Sigma Sigma chapter and winner of 7 awards…I think that is all I can tell you. I have personally changed my life and have worked to change the lives of others for years. I may look young (thank my diet!) but I am 33 this year and have been at the business of coaching for at least 10 years.”
What is a psychological coach?
“I work with people to transform their mind patterns into functional and success attaining ones.”
Is this the same as life coaching?
“100% yes. This is the basis for all coaching. Talk to the client, discover where the the problems occur- the starting point if you will- then create a plan that will effectively change their life as a whole. The most amazing part is how fast this process can occur.”
How fast is that?
“Progress has been recorded and reported within as little as 30 days. Being around when some one’s life changes is an amazing thing. You feel so blessed to be a part of it. As corny as it sounds, it is true. Side note: I am a corny gal!”
You talk a bit during class about your personal mission statement. How important is it to have one?
“I see a mission statement as a light house beacon. It keeps you on course and shows you where to go (what to do and what to let someone else do). My personal mission statement is: To show others how easy and amazing life can be and help them to teach others the lessons as well, as God decides and God directs.”
