As I get more into the training to be a coach program I can easily visualise my next step being to run a training academy of my own.
What makes it so possible is the fact that everything we will need to get up and running is part of the program so we can start immediately. There are no worries about what to teach or where to find the materials. Once we’re set up we have the flexibility to modify or add to it based on our own experience.
I know a lot of people say that you make the most money recruiting and training other coaches but to me that feels a bit like “building an organization” in Amway. Money is important, it’s true, but I feel the best way to earn money quickly is to stop trying to earn money quickly and start trying to build a viable business plan with Coaching at the center but a host of related services in your niche. I agree 100% that you should not train students just to make money. Only do it if you love teaching and are passionate about coaching. Otherwise leave it to those of us who love, love, love teaching others about coaching!
I like the fact that we’re doing what we love and able to earn a living at it. Since we all need to earn a living it’s nice to know there are so many avenues for us to try. If one doesn’t work out for us there are so many other income generating ideas to explore.

Each individual has or should have a vision of their coaching practice. That vision will determine how each individual will establish their unique goals and objectives for business success. Those who have a passion for teaching and the skills to assist students in connecting with the curriculum and learning experience should integrate coach training into their overall plan as means to generate additional income, amplify their name recognition through word-of-mouth advertising by students, and develop a solid income generating program. The important thing when developing one’s business plan, is to be sure to have balance in the areas that one wishes to pursue and practice. If the plan and work is too unbalanced, it is a recipe for disaster.
